Ambition (II): 20 Hits - From Folk To Classical

The goal of this CD is to demonstrate that the theremin can be used not only to create sound effects, but, even more, to render a large repertoire of great pieces of music - from folk to classical. My strong desire was to get a sound as warm as possible and also to put much heart into my playing. Whether or not this was done successfully, perhaps I’ll find out from you… later.
This new CD contains pieces included on my first CD on the musical saw (Ambition I). Half are Romanian songs, the other half being well-known pieces or themes from the international repertoire. The orchestral arrangements belong to one of the best Romanian musicians, George Natsis. Patch assignments and the mixing down were carried out by myself - in my home studio. A brilliant sound came from the acoustic violin of a Romanian gypsy - Niculae Lolica. The photos are by my eldest brother, Ion Popescu-Argesel.
